Fishing section
The Fishing Section Club has a maximum of 60 members. There are three weekend trips away per year. Charter boats are hired on these trips. Past trips have included charters out of Coromandel, Whangamata and Tutakaka.
These trips are subsidised to members through a fund raising raffle each Saturday afternoon at the RSA. Tickets are on sale by 3pm and drawn at 4pm.
Two open fishing competitions are held each year. Prizes include cash and sponsored prizes.

Texas Hold'em Poker
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Tuesday nights are free with $100 prize money up for grabs. Thursday's are $5 cash nights & Friday's are $10 cash nights.
Tuesday 7pm Thursday 7.30pm and Friday 7.30pm.
All welcome to join in and make new friends in the club. Your host of the evening will be Joe.
We have a Howick RSA Poker League team and travel thoughout Auckland.

Golf section
When we travel away, the cost of the trip is $30 per person. This includes the cost of the bus, green fees, and two raffles of spirits which are shared between all members who are traveling on the bus (before the bus leaves).
We play, if possible, 10 fixtures during the year for three trophies. Our final fixture of the year is our Christmas BBQ, where everybody gets a prize. This is played at the Waikaire Golf Club at Te Kawhata.
The Annual Prize Giving is held in the club every year. Prizes are for the top 6 ladies and top 10 men for the year.
Raffles every Thursday night from 4pm
The annual subscription is $20 per year, open to all financial members of the Howick RSA.

Snooker Section
Tuesday nights we run a snooker dash open to all members, invited guests, prospective members and visitors - male and female.
We run in house competitions:
A grade and B grade billiards, handicap singles, Handicap pairs, Drawn pairs
Plus our annual two day invitation pairs tournament, run over Saturday and Sunday.
These competitions are open for Club members only.
There is no joining fee or annual fee for belonging to the snooker section, as we rely on the dash nights for our funding to supply the meat packs and incidentals.
Pool section
We are looking for a volunteer who would be interested to set up a pool section and competitions throughout the Auckland area. We have 2 pool tables which we will soon be getting recovered. If you are interested please contact Clint 534-9702
Women’s section
(Wives, widows, daughters, granddaughters of returned servicemen)
Meeting: Last Friday of every month at 10am. Tea and coffee is served at 10am. All proceeds go to a charitable project, then we have musical entertainment, speakers and raffles.
We have occasional trips to other clubs.

60’s plus Thursday mornings from 9.45am – 12.00pm.
Loads of different entertainment including, mix and mingle, singers and speakers. We play housie for chocolate prizes. We have a trade table and bus trips every eight weeks.
In May we hold an auction and all proceeds are given to a charity such as Starship Hospital.
Don’t sit at home… come along on a Thursday morning and enjoy the entertainment and make some new friends.
